6. President’s report President Steve welcomed everyone especially Bruce Heappey our Club President, to our AGM. Thank you once again to my tight five Board members who always perform well above their pay grades. This year for the first time I can remember we had no Men’s teams attending Clubs NZ Nationals. They put out a survey that President Bruce and myself filled in. We put forward the idea of shifting the clubs NZ Nationals to April as the playing programme is over crowded in February with tournaments. While our two Women’s teams weren’t as successful as previous years, some of our Women members have had great success at Centre and National Level. Marilyn Constantine and Mary Campbell’s fours beat Sue Hodges Omokoroa fours in the final of the Taranaki Open. Sue herself having a stellar year winning two national titles plus runner up in the fours as well as three centre titles.

Our very own Jean Morris gained her gold star for five centre titles. Our raffles have been going well, we have been lucky with some of our rostered nights being big draws. Many thanks to those members who front up and sell them when called upon. Our Annual Citrus tournament was once again a successful tournament with the committee deciding to give something back to the members by way of supplying lunch as part of the entry fee along with fine snacks provided by Carol and Jean. It was a great day thanks once again to the main club for their sponsorship and everyone that made the day a success. It has been my pleasure to be your president but surely you must be getting sick of me by now. Steve/Mike

7. Treasurer’s Report As shown on the balance sheet there has not been a lot of activity. Our main income is from the raffles which has been very successful this year making a profit of $3,136.00. We acknowledge the main club for successfully allocating raffle nights to all the sub clubs and all 2 nights of selling hams at Christmas. Our Citrus tournament ran at a loss, but we were happy to provide food etc from the Citz Club to give back to the members. We also acknowledge the wonderful food provided by the Citz kitchen. We have a balance of $8,603.45 plus a term investment of $11,170.00 I would like to move that my financial report for 2025 to accepted. Jean /Carol

President Bruce spoke on the sub clubs money in the Bank. They don’t like the sub clubs having too much money just sitting in their account, it is there to be used for the members. They are happy that our club is giving back to the members by way of grants and tournaments. Also the new constitution says the sub clubs Executive must to a 2 year stint as President and Sec/treasurer.
